Garland OL staying put

Garland, Texas has never been an area where college coaches just skimmed over in their effort to recruit the Lone Star State. Plenty of high schools in or around the big metroplex put out several Division I prospects each year. However, Garland Sachse High School has only had a varsity team for two years, which makes it understandable as to how Sachse's 6-foot-5, 275-pound Blake Emert flew under the radar early on.

Since then, Emert has visited Tech and opted to verbally pledge in favor of the Red Raiders. With the commitment behind him, Emert is not receiving the recruiting pressure that he did a month ago.

Though already committed, Emert made his second visit out to the Hub City recently to take in a camp and harness the opportunity to speak with his future coaches even more.
