Everson plans July UCLA visit

A mid-June unofficial visit to UCLA has now been pushed back to mid-July for four-star athlete Cedric Everson of Detroit's Mumford High School. The 6-1, 175-pound prospect has been heavily involved in track for the last few months, including taking home a state title in the 400 meters and placing third in that same event in a national meet this past weekend.

Everson had originally planned to take the visit to UCLA on June 12 and then pushed it back to June 24, but track meets in Indianapolis and North Carolina have altered his schedule.

"Next weekend I should be going down to Georgia Tech, so I'll visit (UCLA) two weekends after that, in the middle of July," said Everson. "I just got done talking to (UCLA) Coach (D.J.) McCarthy because today is my birthday and he was just calling me telling me 'Happy Birthday.' He said that (visit date) is fine and that would be a good day because they will still be there."
