UNC on Searcy's short list
Da-Norris Searcy of Decatur (GA) Towers has made an impressive recovery from a serious leg injury, regaining the speed and explosiveness that makes him a threat on both sides of the football.
A 6-0, 195-pound athlete who plays both running back and linebacker at the high school level, Searcy is a coveted prospect who has drawn interest from multiple schools in the Southeast.
Searcy's speed and quickness separates him from the overwhelming majority of his competition at the prep level, and his ability to pursue on the defensive side of the ball is truly advanced.
"I know I can react to the ball a lot faster than most players," he said. "I'm going to work on just keeping the same intensity throughout the game."
