Rosebud has three on top

The departure of Avery Atkins from the University of Florida only served to emphasize how thin the Gators are at cornerback heading into this season and next. With Atkins deciding to transfer, next year Florida will be without it's top four scholarship corners from this past spring. That makes signing several bodies at the position a top priority for this upcoming class.

One player who is on the board is Larry Rosebud of Mesquite (Texas) North Mesquite high school.

Florida co-defensive coordinator Greg Mattison has the Gators in the running thanks to his relentless pursuit of the 5-foot-10, 170 pounder.

When asked which colleges are recruiting him the hardest, he replied; "OSU's coach Bradford. He is a good man to talk to. Coach Mattison from Florida, he is the main reason I like them as much as I do. Purdue's recruiting me hard too. Coach Thomas writes and sends messages about how he thinks I can make a difference there."
