Wilson closing in on decision

It's getting down to crunch time for one of the nation's top trenchmen as Rivals100 offensive guard James Wilson is closing in on a decision between two of the nation's most storied programs.


The Saint Augustine, Fla., Nease prospect, the nation's No. 2 prospect at his position, will decide between Notre Dame and Southern California on Aug. 1.


"I'm not sure how I am going to announce it yet," Wilson said. "I have to talk to my coach."


The 6-foot-4, 308-pounder returned from two weeks in the Los Angeles Thursday afternoon. He was in Santa Clarita, Calif., an hour north of the city, visiting his father.


During that time, he made four unofficial visits to USC, which began with two days at the Trojans prospect camp.
