OSU looking at Lone Star State athlete

Ohio State has been much more of a presence in Texas this season than in recent years, and that's evidenced by the fact that the Buckeyes are chasing Houston wideout Tyrone Carrier and were looking at receiver Roger Holland before he chose Texas A&M.

The Buckeyes don't normally hit Texas very hard, but they're down there a lot this year, and one intriguing prospect getting a long look from OSU is Houston St. Pius safety Tarence Farmer. A 6-foot-1, 185-pounder with 4.47 speed, Farmer is rated as a three-star prospect by Rivals and seems to have a ton of upside.

Farmer has scholarship offers from Tennessee, Oklahoma State, Houston and UTEP and is interested in Florida, LSU and Oklahoma.
