Compton athlete high on the Buffaloes?

One of the top 100 ranked prospects from the Golden State for the 2007 class, Anthony Wright has colleges looking at him on both sides of the ball. The 6-foot-0, 185-pound athlete from Compton (Calif.) High averaged 10.2 yards per carry as a junior.

Wright claims written scholarship offers from eight programs: Baylor, Nebraska, San Diego State, San Jose State, Colorado, Colorado State, Nevada and UNLV.

Colorado, Nebraska and San Diego State currently round out his top three. The Buffs are interested in him as a defensive back while the Huskers and Aztecs are recruiting him simply as an athlete.
