Huskers target Stafford

The Nebraska coaching staff has been beating the bushes for over-looked talent in the Golden State, and they came across one such prospect in Hayward, Calif. and were quick to offer him. Austin Stafford is a 6-foot-3, 205-pound linebacker recruit who was flying under the radar until his Husker offer, and then after his strong performance at the NIKE Football Training camp in Palo Alto other schools began to take notice.

Just recently he was named the No. 42 high school prospect in the state of California by Rivals.com. He's also hearing from Washington, Oregon, Fresno State, Cal, Boston College, UNLV, Illinois, Oregon State and Colorado.
