Summer Q&A: DE Everette Brown

One of the most impressive young players in spring practice was Everette Brown. The redshirt freshman defensive end posted at least one sack or tackle for loss in each scrimmage and was the top pass rusher for the defense all spring. Even though he has yet to see the football field in a college game, there is little doubt that he will work into the rotation and be a major contributor this season. Warchant.com recently caught up with Brown for this exclusive Q&A.

You went home for a few weeks before returning to FSU for the second summer session. What did you do while you were away?

I went back home to North Carolina to workout and spend time with my family. It was good weather but the main thing I did was to make sure I stayed in shape and put on some weight.

Are you having any problems readjusting to the Florida heat?

It's no problem. It's all a mind thing with me.

You mentioned you put on weight. What are you up to now?

I'm up to 250 right now. I'm feeling pretty good with it. When I ran it still feels like I'm in the 235 or 240 range.
