Crawford sees recruitment explode

Since he has been playing with a highly visible AAU program and had a brother who was a McDonald's All-American, on the surface it is hard to understand how Jordan Crawford slipped completely under the radar. However for Crawford an injury and some grade questions kept him from truly exploding onto the scene. That has all changed with a strong showing at the Peach Jam, and Crawford is now a very hot commodity.

High school was not always smooth sailing for Crawford. He started out at Detroit's Renaissance High School, but he struggled academically and decided to transfer to Detroit CMA High. From there Crawford starred on the court until injuries struck. In fact he was forced to miss his entire senior season with an injury.

With the decision to re-classify behind him, Crawford has come out and really played well in the month of July. His breakout performance came at the recent Nike Peach Jam in Georgia, and it is now continuing at the Super Showcase in Orlando.

When asked about his recent improved play, Crawford said, "It's been good, I've been playing with a lot more confidence and that's the main thing. My jumper has been on, and things have been working out."
