Brown looking for 1,000 yards

Thomas Brown enters his third season with Georgia, the member of a talented threesome of running backs and he was was just named to the All-SEC preseason third team. Looking back at his past seasons, Brown really thinks he will have a breakout season. He recently was quoted as saying: "I got bigger and stronger to make a bigger impact this season." The biggest question facing Brown entering the season is whether or not he will get enough carries to reach 1,000 yards.

Looking through his two previous seasons, Brown would have been on pace to rush for a 1,000 yards if he had averaged 16.7 carries a game.

In Brown's freshman campaign, he played in 11 games and rushed for 875 yards on 175 carries despite the fact that he only started 3 games. Brown and fellow freshman running back Danny Ware combined for 1,597 yards and 12 touchdowns. Brown finished the year 6th in the SEC in rushing and took over the starting job from Danny Ware all as a freshman.
