Bears add beef

After receiving a commitment from Texas Top 100 athlete Chris Tate Wednesday, the Bears followed up with not one but two defensive line commitments on Thursday.

Houston (TX) Cypress Creek defensive lineman Zac Scotton was the first to make the call, after concluding a three visit tour that included stops at SMU and Oklahoma St. before the final stop at Baylor.

The visit to Baylor was all the 6-6, 245-pound lineman needed to see before deciding to make his pledge.

Campbell was recruited to Baylor by coach Chris Lancaster, and chose Baylor over offers from Arizona, Arkansas, Kansas, Central Florida, Colorado State, Kansas State, San Diego State, Michigan State, and others.

The commitments of Scotton and Campbell bring Baylor's 2007 recruiting class to a total of 24.
