Drew Viney Update From 'Best Of Summer' Tourney

There was a big crowd of both fans and college coaches at the Loyola Marymount gym on Thursday night to catch Villa Park High, Calif., forward Drew Viney and his 'Pump 'n Run Elite' squad open up with a game against Idaho Select.

What they saw was a complete rout, as Pump 'n Run--coming off a very successful tournament in Las Vegas--won going away, 64-21.

"It was a warm-up for us," said Viney afterward. "We're just continuing after our big win in Vegas."

The first half was mainly the James Harden show as the Artesia rising senior slashed and dashed his way to bucket after bucket for Pump 'n Run.

Before too long, the game was out of hand and Viney found himself relaxing on the bench as backups made their way into the game.

"I didn't get a chance to do too much," said Viney. "It's hard to get up for a game like this after playing 10 games in such a short period of time. My legs were pretty dead."
