Arizona DE brings heat

Players who have the talent to apply heat on a quarterback are always in vogue. The best pass defense is when a quarterback is getting hit, rushed and landing on his butt.

Three-star defensive end William Yancy from Glendale (Ariz.) Ironwood is one such player.

According to Yancy he was recently measured at just under 6-foot-6 and is weighing in at 235. He also ran a 4.7 in the 40 at a UTEP camp that was held at Glendale Junior College.

Yancy was an all-region performer as a junior after he accounted for 75 tackles, 45 quarterback hurries, 13 sacks, five pass deflections and four fumble recoveries.

When you rack up impressive numbers like that offers usually follow and Yancy is now up to nine offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Oregon State, Colorado State, Utah, Wyoming, Boise State, UTEP and Purdue.
