Testing Results: 2006 class off to a great start

It may be years before you can truly look back at Florida State's 2006 recruiting class and say whether it lived up to its lofty billing. However, based on the early returns all signs point to the group being as good as the No. 3 ranking gave it back in February.

Not only is it starting to look like every one of the 30-member class, except for Brent Brewer who signed a pro baseball contract, will qualify, a large number of the newcomers are already turning heads among the coaching staff. It started early in mat drills and in spring practice, with the arrival of five promising early enrollees. The buzz from the rookie class only got stronger over the summer when the rest arrived and took part in workouts.
