Chicago expert weighs in on Molk, other targets

Tim O'Halloran knows Chicago high school football better than anyone, and he knew something was up yesterday with Lemont (Ill.) High center David Molk, who committed last night to Michigan. O'Halloran runs the top prep site - he took a few minutes to discuss U-M's latest commitment and offer his opinion on where things stand with Windy City standouts Robert Hughes and Martez Wilson>, as well.

O'Halloran said Michigan got a great one in Molk.

Arizona State, West Virginia, Purdue and Wisconsin were among several others to offer, but Molk made it clear early he wanted to play Big Ten football, O'Halloran said.

Michigan still has an eye on a few other top Chicago prospects, including friends Hughes and Wilson from Hubbard and Simeon High, respectively. Though there have been reports that Notre Dame could now be the team to beat for Hughes, O'Halloran believes both recruitments will have some twists before they're over.
