Huskers lose corner Bowman for 2006 season

Saturday Aug. 5, 2006 will be a day many Nebraska fans will probably want to forget.

During Saturday's practice highly touted sophomore quarterback Harrison Beck disappeared from the team and could not be located by his fellow Husker teammates and coaches. To make matters worse, Beck's mother Evelyn Beck-Bothwell delivered some very damaging comments about why her son left practice and it has made the situation even harder to figure out.

On top of Beck's absence from the team, NU also took a major blow at Saturday's practice with the news that senior cornerback Zackary Bowman is out of the entire 2006 season with a torn ACL.
