Tide lands big man
Central High School standout Justin Knox was one of the fastest rising big men in the country after his strong AAU performance with the Birmingham Raptors. "Coach Pearson was happy and he was a big reason I chose Alabama. He recruited me hard and made sure I knew exactly where I stood with the staff. I wasn't able to talk to Coach (Mark) Gottfried yet because he's in Hawaii but I will tomorrow.
"I grew up an Alabama fan and I always wanted to play for them. That played a factor but not as big as others might think. But when I looked at it from every angle Alabama was the choice. I had some good offers but none were better than Alabama's."
