Future Cyclone climbs the charts

It's not always "fun" to call recruiting prospects and conduct interviews. But calling a 2007 basketball standout to tell him he's shooting up the Rivals150 national rankings, now that was fun.

Iowa State verbal commitment Craig Brackins was one of the big movers up in the latest release of Rivals' top 150 players in the country and he was happy to get the news on Monday night.

Brackins moved up to no. 17 on the brand new Rivals150, an improvement of 20 places from the spring.

The 6-foot-9, 215-pound five-star power forward from Lancaster (Cal.) was impressive in July in action with the Las Vegas Prospects AAU team of coach Anthony Brown. The Rivals scouts and analysts covering those events took notice.
