Media Day: Christensen waits his turn

With Drew Tate ahead of you on the two deeps, the real quarterback battle will be for second string. Leading that pack right now is redshirt freshman, . The lefty signal caller from Lockport will certainly get his chance to debut at some point this season. Christensen talks about the summer workout program, wait for the opportunity to knock, and much more in this premium interview.

Q: How were the summer workouts?

CHRISTENSEN: Everything went well. We were all working hard. It's good to get camp underway.

Q: You have gotten more work with Jason Manson moving to wide receiver. How important were those reps to you?

CHRISTENSEN: I think it is important for anyone to get reps. There is no replacement for experience and that is one of the great things about spring ball when the coaches can afford to do things that they normally can't do in a game prep.

Q: Is it important for you to get some snaps during games this year?

CHRISTENSEN: I don't really know. That is up to the coaches and whatever he does is what we are going to do.
