Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou?

Defensive coordinator Randy Shannon likes to mix and match his linebackers throughout spring and fall drills.


The idea is that each can play more than one spot in case there are injuries.


And, with middle linebacker Glenn Cook, who has spent most of the fall with the first team, out of action today due to injury, the shift was on.


Cook did not participate in any drills but was on the side watching on. Sources told CaneSport his injury is not considered serious.


And Cook watched Romeo Davis, who until today was locked in a battle at strongside linebacker with Tavares Gooden, move to the middle. That's the same position Davis played last year.
