Saturday Practice Report (AM)

Freshman safety Taylor Mays was rated as the second-best athlete in the nation coming out of O'Dea High School.

Having played defensive back, wide receiver, running back and quarterback in high school, Mays is using his versatile talents to become the talk of Fall Camp. After accumulating a team leading six tackles in the Trojans' first scrimmage, Mays is ready for the next step.

"It's not about individuals, it's about what's best for the team and it's about winning."

It's an impressive statement; what's more remarkable is that it was made by an 18-year-old.

Taylor Mays has all the physical tools you could hope for, but equally noteworthy is his attitude and maturity at such a young age.
