Stepping up to the plate
Tuesday morning proved very productive for the Utes. The weather was cooler thanks to the previous evening's storm, but the field was in good shape. Red zone situations and special teams were heavily emphasized, and unlike Monday, the players emerged for the most part unscathed.
Darryl Poston stepped up to the plate in a big way after not distinguishing himself in the scrimmage. He made life very difficult for the No. 2 defense on Tuesday, cutting the linemen out of their shows and getting downfield with his patented burst of speed. Outside of the senior USC transfer, the other running backs didn't get a lot of time and did not stand out much when they did.
