Iowa State in strong position with ATH

The season is ready to begin this week at Dunnellon High School in Florida, and while 6-foot-0, 175-pound athlete Juwan Franklin is excited about his team's potential this season, he has more than pigskin on his plate. Colleges have continued to show interest and he now holds four offers, but other hurdles need to be cleared before he is able to take the next step in his journey.

After a rough start to his academic beginning of high school, Franklin has refocused himself on his schoolwork and feels good about where things stand as he prepares for a big test.

Franklin feels he can get his GPA in the 3.0 range by the end of his high school career and is looking forward to settling up his test scores. College coaches also are looking forward to seeing Franklin qualify. He held offers from Iowa State, Kentucky and UCF earlier this summer and picked up one more along the way.
