Experienced Rebel secondary returns
Ole Miss head football coach Ed Orgeron felt good about his defensive secondary headed into fall camp and that hasn't changed after the team wrapped up its first three weeks of practice.
On Thursday, he singled out the secondary along with the tight ends and linebacker Patrick Willis as areas on the team where he's excited (about their performance) headed into the season opener against Memphis on Sept. 3.
One reason for the excitement is because Ole Miss returns a secondary almost intact that ended last season ranked No. 14 in the nation in pass defense, giving up only 179 yards a game through the air.
