Field General: Last week, Bichnell named junior Zac Champion his starting quarterback in the season opener against Nebraska. Champion beat out redshirt freshman Michael Mosley and junior college transfer Joe Danna for the starting job. Champion played in just two games last season, completing 2-of-2 passes for 16 yards. In five career games, Champion has completed 6-of-8 passes for 38 yards and no touchdowns or interceptions.
