Focus is on improving

While no one in the Dal Ward Center is conceding the 2006 season just yet, it has become pretty evident that the Buffaloes' will be focused more on improving themselves each week rather than focusing on their next opponent.

CU has already lost both of what were perceived to be their less challenging non-conference games. The next three weeks, the Buffs will match up against teams that have combined for a 6-0 record early on this season.

"We just have to continue to refine, continue to get better and continue to work on the little things," Colorado head coach Dan Hawkins said on Tuesday. "There is not an area right now that any of us can't improve on.

"We made tremendous strides from week one to week two and we have to continue to make them in week three. You have to measure yourself against your own standards. It's not a case of being better than x, y, z or better than this opponent. You have to get better than yourself."
