The Big Cat Speaks - A Passing Fancy
After enduring a road trip across the country to play national title contender Auburn in humid conditions among 85,000+ of their rabid followers, the Cougar football team came back home and drank from the nectar of the football gods - a 56-10 demolition of Idaho that restored their spirits. The large margin of the victory also allowed those buried on the depth chart to get valuable experience - according to WSU head coach Bill Doba - and which, for a team like Wazzu which does not typically enjoy experienced depth, can be looked up on as an invaluable bonus to the blowout win. But it was not something Doba expected from the Dennis Erickson-coached Vandal team that had played within 10 points of Michigan State only one week earlier.
