Kimbrough making his mark with Sun Devils

Sophomore wide receiver Nate Kimbrough has a well-earned reputation as one of Arizona State's most consistently hard-working players, and that effort is beginning to pay off. Kimbrough earned his first career start against Colorado and he led the Sun Devils with four catches against Cal.

"Mainly when I was in high school we had a type of work ethic that has you running all the time, we always had high energy," Kimbrough said. "So that's part of where that comes from.

"I take it upon myself that I know if I work hard, my teammates will work hard because I somewhat look at myself as a leader. Even coming in (to the program), if I'm working hard that's going to push other people to work hard and that's basically what I do. I just work hard with high energy and try to keep everybody up."

Kimbrough is a player whose mind is constantly drifting to thoughts of football, and how he can maintain his edge and continue to improve as a player. He admitted that one of his regular rituals involves playing a game of catch in a most unusual way.
