Fearless predictions for KSU
For the first time this season, our "fearless" predictions missed on the big one - the score and winner - in OSU's last game at Houston two weeks ago. We'll try our best to not do that again.
Prediction #1 - Wide receiver D'Juan Woods has his 2006 breakout game. Through four games, opposing defenses have rolled their coverage to Woods. With Adarius Bowman gouging Houston for 166 yards, it's "pick your poison" with the Cowboy receivers. We say K-State splits the difference and leaves Woods single-covered about half the time. That sets up D'Juan's first 100 yard game of the '06 season.
Prediction #2 - RB Michael Hamilton is again not the team leader in rushing attempts or yards.
Prediction #3 - The defense takes advantage of KSU QB Josh Freeman's lack of experience and nabs three interceptions.
Prediction #4 - The OSU defense, which has been fairly stout against the run, will keep the KSU ground game in check and holds the Wildcats to under 100 yards rushing.
Prediction #5 - Quarterback Bobby Reid's development continues to show, with another solid outing on the road. His stats seem near-impossible to predict, but we'll just say that his total offense numbers will be very solid.
Prediction #6 - There will be a special teams or defensive touchdown in the game.
Prediction #7 - Our initial score prediction was along the lines of a 20-10 OSU win, but we're inclined to bump that to 28-7.
