Humpal impressed with young understudy

For the most part, you don't find many true freshman who are ready to step into the fire from Day One and are ready to compete in the Big Ten. But, at outside linebacker, Mike Humpal has been impressed with the play of AJ Edds, who switched for tight end during camp. Humpal talks about Edds development, Garrett Wolfe, and much more.

Q: No extra urgency this weekend?

HUMPAL: I wouldn't say that, but know that those guys will be playing instead of Drew, maybe a little bit.

Q: Have you watched any film on Garret Wolfe?

HUMPAL: Yeah I have watched him a little bit on film. I haven't watched a whole lot yet. From what I have seen and heard, he moves around. He is shifty and fast. He makes plays.

Q: Does he remind you of anyone? Mike Hart maybe?

HUMPAL: No necessarily him, I would say.

Q: Maybe Damian Sims a little bit?

HUMPAL: Yeah, I would say he is more similar to Damian. He is quick, shifty, and can flat out run. He makes big plays.
