Dunn takes charge

Demond "Tweety" Carter set the bar high when he scored 74 against East St. John; however, another Baylor bound Louisiana guard is going to give the 2006 McDonald's All-American a run for his money.

Tuesday night against Class C foe Sicily Island, Monroe Excelsior Christian guard LaceDarius Dunn reigned down 61 points in a 93-62 win.

Dunn, ranked No. 1 in the Pelican state and No. 33 in the nation, sat out the final five minutes of the contest but could not be contained throughout the course of the game.

With so man people in his face Dunn was also able to find open teammates, who did their part to put the ball in the basket.

Dunn, who has played about four minutes a quarter this season, was able to stay in the game until five minute mark in the fourth quarter.
