Fumbles put Temple on second team

Heading into Missouri's game against Oklahoma last week, Tony Temple was the third-leading rusher in the Big 12 Conference. For this Saturday's game against Nebraska, Temple is the second-string back on his own team.

"It's because, right now, the fumble situation, we moved him down," said Mizzou coach Gary Pinkel. "He'll earn it back. Hopefully, this will help a little bit focus wise."

Temple, who has been atop the depth chart since fall camp, did not seem to be on the same page as far as the reason for his demotion to second-string.

"I know when you're hurt, you've got to move down," he said.
