Auburn moves to 9-1 with win over Indians

Auburn wrapped up the non-conference portion of its schedule with a ho-hum 27-0 win over Arkansas State but it could have been so much more. The Tigers had two touchdowns called back on penalties and committed three turnovers in an error-filled game at Jordan-Hare Stadium Saturday.

Still, the defense pitched its second shutout of the season and quarterback Brandon Cox led a Tiger offense that gained 399 total yards.

"But we'll wipe all that out. We're going to have a different football team next week, from top to bottom."

After an inconsistent first half, Auburn's offense showed more life in the third quarter scoring touchdowns on its first two possessions, both by fullback Carl Stewart on a 1-yard run and a 19-yard pass from Cox.
