Post Game Notes and Quotes

Below are random notes and quotes following the Buffaloes' game against Iowa State on November 11th:

  • The temperature was 46 degrees at kickoff with party cloudy skies. The announced attendance was 43,056.

  • The Buffaloes' scored on their first possession for the seventh time this season. They extended their scoring streak to 221 games.

  • Ryan Walters suffered a neck stinger in the first quarter. The sophomore safety did return to the game after missing just one series. Fellow safety J.J. Billingsley was not expected to dress, but the senior entered the game late in the first quarter. He played the remainder of the game and recorded five tackles.

  • Senior Mark Fenton rotated with Bryce MacMartin at center. Fenton had been out since the Georgia game with a broken fibula.

    "Being a senior, for all he's done and gone through, it was great to see him battle back and get in there," head coach Dan Hawkins said in regards to Fenton. "Coach (Chris) Strausser was able to roll him in there."
