It's Pitt Week: BCS, bragging rights on the line

MORGANTOWN--Somebody asked Mountaineer head coach Rich Rodriguez how many words it took him into Saturday's post-game message to mention the word "Pitt."

"Oh, about three," Rod said, cracking a smile.

Well, then, what were the first two words that preceded "Pitt."

Rod only smiled.

With Cincinnati put away at 42-24 before an announced crowd of 57,174 at Milan Puskar Stadium, the Mountaineers (8-1 overall, 3-1 Big East) now head for archrival Pitt Thursday night.

And each of those 57,172 knows the "word" that comes after "Pitt." In Mountaineer Nation vernacular, it has four letters and rhymes with tux.

It's Pitt Week.
