Harris picks Hogs

Arkansas hosted three players on official visits and about 40 more on unofficial visits for what may have been the best game day atmosphere in the history of Razorback football.

The experience sealed the deal for Irving (Texas) MacArthur safety Bret Harris, who committed to Arkansas Sunday during his official visit. Harris had been favoring Arkansas and Oklahoma State over scholarship offers from Iowa State, Kansas State and Missouri and interest from Florida, Oklahoma and Nebraska.

"The biggest factor was the atmosphere," Harris said. "I went to the game. It was an outstanding game. I thought Tennessee might keep it closer, but Arkansas' defense played well."
