Michigan contacts JUCO linebacker

Playing eight-man football in tiny Kensington (Kan.) Austin Panter did not get the exposure to Division 1 schools coming out of high school. He had the grades to play at practically any University in the country, but saw his best option for continuing his football career as being Butler County Community College in El Dorado, Kan. Now, the 6-4, 240-pound Panter is getting a second chance at the D-1 level.

Ranked as the No. 17 JUCO prospect in the country by Rivals.com, Panter picked up his first offer just last week from Minnesota. The ball kept rolling when a phone call came in from Michigan shortly afterwards.
