Beavers snag Bass

In a strange twist of events, one of the top running backs in the nation has switched commitments and decided to continue his football career in the Pac-10. The big and bruising back from Torrance (Calif.) El Camino College had given his pledge earlier in the recruiting season to Iowa State but due to uncertainty on the coaching staff for the Cyclones, he now will call Corvallis his home.

El Camino running back J.J. Bass is big and fast and just what any DI school could want. He is currently rated the #6 JUCO back in the nation according to JCGridiron.com but is on the verge of moving up the ranks when the re-rankings come out after the season. Bass says Oregon State is the school for him.
