Jackson one to watch

COFFEYVILLE, Kan. - The Dalton Defenders Bowl was a 57-0 blowout for Butler County (Kan.) Community College, but players on both sides showed the ability to play at the next level.

Future Arkansas running back Brandon Barnett, 5-foot-9, 205 pounds, 4.38 seconds in the 40-yard dash, was named the overall Most Valuable Player in the game. The top defensive player honor for Vermilion (Minn.) Community College went to free safety Javarus Jackson, 6-foot-4, 208 pounds, 4.5 in the 40. Jackson finished the game with 20 tackles, 1 interception and 1 blocked kick.
