Looking for a defensive leader

One of the biggest challenges for Ole Miss in the 2007 season will be to replace first team All-American Patrick Willis at middle linebacker where he captained the Rebel team and notched 137 tackles this season.

Rebel head coach Ed Orgeron lamented after his team's win in the Egg Bowl against Miss. State on Saturday about how he had to figure out how to run his defense without Willis next year.

Replacing a player of Willis' caliber is never an easy job, but the Rebels have something they didn't have when their last major star - Eli Manning - departed after his senior season. And that's a candidate for the job who has demonstrated on the field that he can get it done.
