Carpenter talks about Hawaii preparations

We caught up with quarterback Rudy Carpenter following practice Wednesday to find out how the team is responding in its initial preparations for the Hawaii Bowl. Which player that hasn't played much of late made a big impact in the session? Find out inside.

On a heightened sense of importance due to it being Dirk Koetter's final game at ASU:

"Coach has put in a lot of work here and a lot of work for us players, teaching us a lot of stuff and I think that would be the best way for him to go out. Beat U of A and then win a bowl game for the third straight year. Not many people get a chance to do that and hopefully we can help him do that."

On the coaching rumors:

"It's kind of impossible to keep an ear out for who it's going to be because I don't think anybody knows who it's going to be except for our athletics director. I mean people speculate but I don't know how they would know."
