Hendrix scores 34 in Tide win

Despite missing two of the nation's top players, the No. 4 Alabama basketball team (8-1) came out with an impressive 92-58 win over the Alabama State Hornets (2-5) led by sophomore forward Richard Hendrix who put up a career-best 34 points.

"We wanted to go in to Richard," head coach Mark Gottfried said. "We wanted to go right in there. He was just terrific. He just played great, 15 for 19 from the field is pretty special, I don't care who you are playing against. That's a pretty great night."
