Future Cyclone deals with ailing left knee

With his Wolfeboro (N.H.) Brewster Academy team off to a solid 9-2 start - and a signed letter of intent to play for Iowa State next fall - it would seem that everything is going swimmingly for Craig Brackins. However, the 6-foot-8, 200=pound cornerstone of the Cyclones '07 recruiting class has an MRI on his left knee later this week that has him nervous.

"I had an x-ray last week, and the only thing the doctors said after that was that we needed to do an MRI to find out what exactly is wrong," Brackins said. "I just know that I haven't been able to jump at 100% for a while now.

"There's a little thought at the back of my head that tells me it's something serious, but we'll just have to see how it goes," ne added. "If the doctor tells me it's okay to play on, then I'll keep playing. I haven't missed any games yet," Brackins said.
