Harris makes first Dome start

Freshman Paul Harris got his first start against the Colgate Raiders in the Dome on Saturday night, replacing guard Eric Devendorf in the lineup.

Harris, who was averaging 12 points and seven rebounds coming into the game, had a less than memorable night against Colgate. Harris went 0-4 from the field and finished with only three points, although he did grab seven rebounds.

"It was terrific," Harris said of his first start, quickly adding, "Although I didn't play well."

Harris was replacing guard Eric Devendorf, who experienced limited time against both Wichita State and Oklahoma State because he was apparently not feeling well. That doesn't appear to be the issue any longer, though.

"I'm not a doctor," Head Coach Jim Boeheim said after the game, responding to the question of weather or not Devendorf was still sick. "Not that I know of," he added.

Coming into Saturday's game Devendorf was the team's second leading scorer, averaging 12.3 points per game. He was named the MVP of the Black Coaches Association Invitational championship after averaging 16 points in the Orange's three games that culminated in their winning the championship.
