A new leader for Watt?

Pewaukee (Wis.) tight end JJ Watt has had a crazy month of December. He was committed to one school, then nearly committed to another. With a new offer now in hand, Watt could be one good official visit away from committing to yet another school. What is it that has caused the most recent change atop his leader board?

Watt landed an offer from Minnesota on Tuesday night when offensive coordinator Mitch Browning stopped by for a visit.

"Coach Browning from Minnesota made a visit to my house tonight and he offered me a scholarship to come and play tight end for the Golden Gophers. I have only been talking with Minnesota for a few weeks, but with this offer they have moved right to the top of the list. Coach Shaw was in last week and he got me scheduled to come in for a visit this weekend and he has talked about the possibility of an offer. It is very exciting to get an offer to play so close to home and in the Big Ten."
