Cats set to tune up for Vegas trip

The Wildcats enter on the heels of an 82-54 win over Kennesaw State, while the Hawks venture to Manhattan with a 1-6 overall record and still reeling from a 102-46 loss at Wichita State.
UMES's only win on the season came in the form of a 64-58 triumph over Stony Brook to go along with a 23-point loss to Navy, 41-point setback at Virginia, 23-point defeat at the hands of George Washington and the 56-point thrashing by way of the Shockers.
The Wildcats, on the other hand, were nearly flawless in the first half Sunday against Kennesaw State, the first game in correlation with the Las Vegas Holiday Classic that will kick into full gear this weekend. K-State led 55-19 at the break, getting the job done on both ends of the floor in a contest that also served as the debut for heralded freshman Bill Walker.
