KU dominant in win
With very few marquee match ups on the schedule for No. 12 Kansas (10-2, 0-0); fans were looking forward to Saturday's tilt with the Boston College Eagles (7-3, 1-0).Bill Self's Jayhawks didn't disappoint. Led my sophomore Mario Chalmers' 22 points, KU ran away with a 84-66 victory. The win is a step in the right direction for the Jayhawks, who are hope to head into conference play on a strong note.
After coming off an impressive win against an outmanned Winton-Salem State team earlier in the week, the Jayhawks needed another strong outing against Boston College, who are one of the hottest teams in the country.
After a slow start, which included three early turnovers, Kansas opened up a 16-10 lead. The game started out with a defensive tone, as both teams struggled to get into any offensive flow.
Chalmers and Brandon Rush (15 points) were aggressive early, leading KU from the start. After Rush committed his second foul, Self was forced to sit him down.
