Aliquippa ties working for Michigan
Junior wide receiver Jonathan Baldwin of Aliquippa (Pa.) High School has been a name on college coaches' radars since before his junior season even began. The 6-6, 215-pound prospect has all the makings of a future star on the gridiron and also has game on the hardcourt. Michigan has ties to Aliquippa and those ties run very close to Baldwin.
Former Michigan All-American cornerback Ty Law, who has totaled 50 interceptions and multiple Pro Bowl appearances in his 12-year NFL career and is now a member of the Kansas City Chiefs, hails from Aliquippa. Baldwin not only knows of Law, but is related to him and that has led to an affinity for the Wolverines.
Although just a junior, Michigan has already offered Baldwin a scholarship to play wide receiver. He attended a game at Michigan Stadium this past October when Michigan State was in town and what he saw further confirmed his impressions of Michigan.
