Luther Davis is a LSU commitment

Rivals.com four-star defensive end Luther Davis of West Monroe will be a part of LSU's 2007 recruiting class as he has chosen the Tigers over scholarship offers from Oklahoma, Auburn, Florida State and Louisville.

"It's LSU," Davis told the Monroe News Star. "Definitely LSU."

Davis who stands at 6-foot-4 and 280 pounds was honorable mention Class 5A All-State after finishing his senior season with 39 tackles and three sacks.

The Louisiana blue-chipper spoke with LSU head coach Les Miles about giving his verbal commitment back in August but Miles told him that he did not want him taking any official visits once he was committed.

Davis opted to wait, but is now a LSU pledge after visiting Louisville, LSU and Oklahoma officially.

TigerBait.com will have more on Luther Davis' commitment following the conclusion of the U.S. Army All-American game.
